ICHRA Plans for Employers of ALL Sizes
WHAT IS AN ICHRA?
ICHRA stands for Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement. It allows employers to offer a fixed dollar amount that the employee can use to purchase an individual (or family) health policy. The employer benefits by having a fixed budget rather than dealing with annual increase that come with a traditional group health plan. The employee benefits by having the option to select their coverage level compared to the group "one size fits all" plan. Set up properly, the plan costs are deductible to the employer and pre-tax to the employee.
HOW IS THE ICHRA ADMINISTERED?
Our relationship with Access Health allows us to offer the ICHRA at zero administrative costs to the employer. The employer receives one bill monthly from Access Health for all enrolled employees.
DOES ICHRA WORK FOR ALEs (Applicable Large Employers-50+ Full Time Equivalent Employees)?
Structured correctly, an ICHRA can satisfy the large employer ACA mandate. If you have a large group that has suffered from renewal increases due to poor claim experience, this may be a solution. Please reach out to us to discuss details. We may have a solution that saves your company significant premium dollars.
